China's oil and gas pipelines include natural gas pipelines , crude oil pipelines and finished product pipelines. It has the characteristics of long construction period, large line span, many safety hazards, etc., and the total mileage of pipelines continues to grow. There is an urgent need to strengthen the safety patrol and management of pipelines. At present, conventional manual inspection methods can no longer meet the requirements of speed, precision and accuracy, and more scientific technical means need to be used for oil and gas pipeline inspections. UAVs are maneuverable, flexible, low-cost, and not affected by terrain and roads, making them very suitable for inspection applications in the oil and gas industry at home and abroad. However, because oil and gas pipelines are usually located in remote locations and often lack 5G and 4G signal coverage, how to achieve remote control and image transmission without operator network coverage is an industry problem that needs to be solved urgently.
Along the oil and gas pipeline, based on self-organizing network technology, the network interconnection between base stations takes into account that there is no private network optical fiber laid along the line. If optical fiber is used to interconnect the base stations, the construction cost is high, so the plan uses wireless private network communication links. That is, each base station is equipped with multi-hop low-latency wireless relay equipment in the backbone network, that is, wireless interconnection between base stations. Near the command center, the base station is connected to the platform or remote control local area network through optical fiber or network cable.
The transmission distance between backbone network relay equipment can reach 10 to 30 kilometers, and equipment of different specifications and models can be matched according to the on-site environment.
